Aurora says:
It was in the mid seventies. The school was small and familiar, teachers and students mixed together and we had great fun.
I am glad it has improved so much, but as the song goes "I remember Dublin School in the rare old times."
Great memories.
Aurora O'Connor, Madrid, Spain.
(Thanks Aurora - hope to see you again soon.)

Irish Visas
Visa information
Useful information and links regarding applying for a visa to study in Ireland.
The Irish Naturalisation & Immigration Service
The section of the Department of Justice, Equality and Law Reform responsible for visas. This is the best place to get visa information.
The Department of Foreign Affairs
Maintains a list of Irish embassies. They also have some visa information, but they are NOT responsible for processing visas. Student visa applications received by the Department of Foreign Affairs are passed on to the Department of Justice.
DO I NEED A VISA TO COME TO IRELAND?
If you are an EU or EEA national, you DO NOT require a visa to come to Ireland.
Otherwise follow the link from the INIS page "Do I need a Visa".
If you are NOT an EU or EEA citizen and do not require a visa to study in Ireland, we will provide you with a letter of Invitation for Immigration purposes. If you stay for longer than 90
days you must register with the Garda National Immigration Bureau (GNIB).
WHERE DO I APPLY?
A new online visa application system is being introduced. This new system includes the facility to complete your visa application form on-line. If the country in which you are ordinarily resident is listed as an on-line 'supported country' you MUST complete your form on-line. If your country is not listed then you can complete a paper-based applicaton and download an application form from the website.
Check the INIS website for full information on making an online visa application or paper application and student visa requirements.
VISA APPLICATION SERVICE PROVIDED BY DSE.
In certain cases applications can be made directly in Dublin e.g. if there is no embassy/consular office in your country or if your country is not listed as an on-line "supported country". Please check the visa website for this information. Where an application can be made directly in Dublin we can make the visa application on your behalf.
We would require completed visa application form together with all necessary documents. Please ensure you enclose all documents required as missing and/or incorrect documentation will result in a delay in making your application. You will also need to decide what course you
would like to attend and complete our DSE application form. This should be sent to us together with full payment of course fees and a visa service fee of EUR 200.
VISA REFUSAL
If your visa is refused you have a right of appeal. We are happy to help you with this procedure. It is important to note that a refusal must be appealed within 3 months of the decision to refuse your visa, so it is necessary to act quickly.
If you are refused, contact the office where you made an application and ask (in writing) for the reasons for refusal. The visa office are obliged to tell you why your visa was refused.
REFUND
In the event of your visa being refused we will refund the full course fees. If you have made your own application there will be an administration charge of EUR 100.
We are obliged to check that the visa application is closed before we can issue a refund. To speed up this process, please provide us with the original letter of refusal.
If we have made the application on your behalf the visa service fee is non-refundable.
